Speculation about a possible romantic connection between Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra erupted on social media after videos surfaced of the two together following the Paris Olympics 2024. The footage, which showed India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra with Manu Bhaker and her mother at a post-Games event, led to a flurry of rumors online, with many suggesting that marriage might be in the future for the two athletes.

However, Manu Bhaker’s father, Ram Kishan, has firmly dismissed these rumors, clarifying that his daughter is too young to be considering marriage. “Manu is still very young. She is not even of marriageable age. Not even thinking about it right now,” he told Dainik Bhaskar, putting an end to the speculation.

The videos also captured a warm interaction between Neeraj and Manu’s mother, prompting further talk. Ram Kishan explained that Manu’s mother sees Neeraj as a son, which accounts for the close bond between them and dispels any idea of a romantic relationship.

Neeraj Chopra’s uncle also addressed the rumors surrounding the silver medallist’s marriage, stating, “Just as Neeraj brought the medal, the entire country got to know about it. Similarly, when he marries, then everyone will know.”

Both Manu and Neeraj were among India’s most successful athletes at the Paris Games. While both may feel they could have done even better, they still brought pride to the country—Manu by winning two bronze medals in shooting, and Neeraj by following up his Tokyo Olympics gold with a silver in Paris.
